Tenchu IV - preview

I was sold on Tenchu IV the moment I heard it was going back to the original development team. They are setting out to bring the series back to its past glory. I remember pouring a lot of time into the PSX original, and I’m very eager to enjoy that feeling once more. After seeing the latest scans, it looks like the title is definitely going to be a lot of fun. Using a cat to scout out areas and poison guards?! How damn cool is that…

Tomy expanding their titles

Tomy is looking to make $55 million by 2010, and they are going to do so by bringing more titles to North America. We already heard rumors of Choro-Q Wii and Licca-Chan coming to North America, and a recently released company fact sheet confirms that early buzz. There are other licenses that Tomy works with, but some of them depend on localized anime. There are definitely more deals in the works for North American projects, but Tomy isn’t ready to talk about those just yet.

Wario Land: Shake It! - more details

- First level is a tutorial
- meet up with Captain Maple Syrup at the start of your adventure
- tutorial takes place on the pirate ship
- Once you find the captured citizen of Queen Melful, race the time limit back to the start of the level
- There is a shop where you can buy potions, level up items, and maps to access new levels
- sound test

Fatal Frame IV - more details

- takes place on Rougetsutou island (ficitional)
- setting is a half-western half-Japanese hotel. Hotel was previously a sanatorium.
- mystical ceremony was performed every 10 years to worship the moon, but ceremonies stopped for unknown reasons
- 5 young girls were abducted and taken to the island, but were recovered by a detective. None of the girls remember what happened on the island
- story takes place several years later when 3 girls return to the island to try and figure out what happened
- 3 girls are the main characters
- subtitle “Mask of the Lunar Eclipse” refers to a mask used during the ritual that erases memories
