Prince Caspian Director Andrew Adamson abouot game/entertainment convergence
“I think it’s inevitable,” said Adamson. “I mean, entertainment is many different forms and I think the way that TV is interfacing with movies and movies are interfacing with games and online games are interfacing with PCs…all those things are coming together in a way that you get to sort of experience a world beyond necessarily just the film experience. And I think that’s very exciting. I think it’s fun to be able to interact with these characters that you’re seeing in the movie.” - Prince Caspian director, Andrew Adamson

Analyst - Wii set to surpass 360 install base next month
“Although Xbox 360 had a one year head start, we expect the Nintendo Wii to surpass the Xbox 360 installed base next month. The Wii’s installed base reached 9.5mn units, and it sold an average of 718k units in the past two months, while Xbox 360’s base of 10mn only sold an average of 234k units per month this year. Clearly, the Wii has been regaining momentum after months of shortages, and we expect the installed base to exceed 10mn units by next month.” - Deutsche Bank analyst Jeetil Patel
Seeing the Wii sell that many units so quickly still boggles my mind. Not because I don’t think it deserves to sell, but because it took the 360 an extra year to get to that same number.

Sega - Sonic making out with humans, that`s no good

Obviously, this is something Sega regrets. They went so far as to confirm that there will be no hedgehog-to-human romance this time around. Also, the director for Unleashed was not involved with the last game.
A few other notes worth mentioning. Unleashed will be a 95% Sonic outing, meaning that friends of Sonic (Tails, Knuckles, ect.) will not be playable…for the most part. If there are any other playable characters, Sega isn’t talking. Finally, Sega is doing their best to bring back the feeling of Sonic titles that people actually like!
Sonic had a little bit to say about... [Read More]
